Homewood Suites, Tempe, AZ

Hilton Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn are two new hotel developments simultaneously designed and constructed located off of the intersection of Loops 101 and 202 in Tempe, Arizona. The site is conveniently located near the Tempe Marketplace and the Salt River. These two extended-stay hotels are part of a new development on a repurposed and environmentally mitigated construction waste landfill. A unique design aspect is that both hotels are elevated above the footings, which in the 8-inch of air space between the ground and the foundation allows for gases to be naturally forced by pressure through the roof systems. This design provides a further layer of environmental protection. In addition to the two hotels located on the site, upon build out, will be office buildings, retail, and surface parking.

Hilton Homewood Suites is a four-story, wood construction hotel of 121 rooms and 98,100 SF. The facility offers spacious studio, one or two bedroom suites with fully equipped kitchens, dining, workstation and separate living and sleeping areas. Hotel offers standard brand amenities including outdoor pools.

DesignCell provided design and construction administration for the Design/Bid/Build delivery.  Hilton Homewood Suites was completed at the end of 2016.
