Garden Inn, Austin, TX

The Hilton Garden Inn is a four-story, 66,700 square foot, 109 guestroom hotel project located off of the intersection of Highways 183 and 45 in Austin, Texas. This hotel is near Lakeline Mall and within an old Oak tree lined preservation area. DesignCell provided critical site planning to preserve the historic trees requiring that none with trunk diameters of 24-inch be touched and still meet parking requirements. DesignCell further offered design solutions to address a 20-foot slope that required the hotel design meet the existing slope and elevation changes. The site contains a natural drainage reservoir off of the roadway for storm water collection that is adjacent to the site. The access road crosses over the storm channel leading to the development.

The wooded site is shared with a Marriott TownePlace Suites hotel, also designed by the firm.
